And there you have it!

Finally took the time to upload the cards that I have made in the past while. Not a whole lot of them. Seems like all I have had time to make is the necessary ones lately. Always busy doing something else it seems. If there is anything you want to know about any of the stamps etc feel free to give me a shout and I will try to come up with an answer for you! I really should do this more often as by the time I get stuff all uploaded I have forgotten a bunch of the stuff that I used. Or I think it is so obvious that you all know anyways!
Hope you have fun looking!

Get Well Card

This card is for my Uncle Jim who is in the hospital in Guelph, Ontario. I do hope he gets to feeling better.
This is a digital image by Karen Johnson. So cute!!!!

40th Wedding Anniversary

I think this is such a cute Mo Manning stamp. Now the people I made this card for do not look anything like the folks on the card, just for the record!!! They actually look like they must have gotten married at about 10 years old to be married 40 years!!!! Kind of hard to take a picture of an easel card isn't it! Had fun building this one!

For my son in law

Now this is one sad looking dragon!!!! Fortunately my s.i.l doesn't look this bad but he sure is hard on his feet!!!! Hope they're feeling better now Mikey!!!! XO

Get Well Card

A get well card for my sister in law's brother who had a stroke a few months ago. He's struggling to get back to where he was now. Hopefully he is getting closer to well again.

Welcome to your new home!

This card I made for my sister in laws mom and dad. At 86 they bought a new house and moved into it!!!! They will be closer to their sons now, so that's good for them. But what an undertaking. My brother and sister in law drove back east and helped them with everything for about 6 weeks. They are just on their way back now. It will be nice to have them home again!

Birds on a Wire

Another card to cheer my friend.

Christmas in July

Card for my friend.

Didn't realize that I had so many cards that I have done and not uploaded. I had another one too. But if you can believe this. It was all but finished and I went to my daughter's so I took it with me with the intention of finishing it up and getting it in the mail. Well, we were busy from morning til night and just didn't have time to do it sooooo, I put it with my stuff to come back home. And it has never been seen again!
The first highlight of our trip took us to our friend's wedding! It was a lovely day. And really good to see them again! As well as some other friends I hadn't seen for awhile.
After the wedding we continued on to where my daughter lives and got to see their new house. It is really nice!
Anyhow back home now. Hope you enjoy the new uploads. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I am not very good at going through everything I did or used to make the card and all my stuff is at the other end of the house!!!!! But if you need to know, I will make the walk! aaaaaaaaaahahahahaha!

Hey now this is one card that I think looks better here than in real life! Upon closer inspection I am not as impressed with the stamp as I was when I "just had to have it". Hope the recipient likes it anyway. Should be at her house soon!

Little Princess

I think this is one of the cutest Magnolia's I have seen so far! Made this card for my nephew's wife for her birthday!

Cutee Patootie

This little girl with the cupcake is from Belle's and Whistles. Another Elisabeth Bell design! That girl has a mind that never quits!!!!

Ha cha cha!!!!

A fun card for my nephew, Peter's Birthday! Love my new Martha Stewart punch. And a good day was had by all! Almost had to get in the fire dept when the candles were lit! heehee

Pretty little girl

This is a stamp made by Flower Soft. My first experience with using the fluffy stuff!

Rory from Sugar Nellie

A card for a friend who needs a little lifting of the spirits. Going through a really hard time right now.

Birthday Card

Isn't this little shy bear just the cutest! It was fun to color! Birthday card for my girl friend Ralfie.

Birthday Card for a friend.

This card I made for a friend who had a birthday a little earlier this month. The images are all Magnolia. Colored with copics. Somehow this magnolia chickie doesn't look much like what I would think some one sitting on a piano would look like but there ya go! It's not always about what I think, now, is it!!! LOL

Easter Card 1

Another card for my little grandson.  Digital image courtesy of Karen's Doodles. Colored with copics. The border punch is a Martha Stewart that my friend, Ralfie brought back for me from her winter vacation in Yuma! Thanks! Ralfie.

Easter Card

A card for my grandaughter for Easter. The image is a digital download from The paper is also a download. Colored with copics. Spellbinder die cut. And popped on a little purple rickrack. She really likes getting cards!!!! Of course it helps that her mommy makes a real big deal out of it so that's nice of her! Thanks! Sami.

Thought I better let you know I am not still mad!

I don't have anything to post today but I got my issues fixed and now have my beloved pencil back to edit with! Seems I didn't have my browser set to accept 3rd party cookies! Did that and now it is all ok again.
I found this site that looks to be quite helpful thought I'd share it if you'd like to have a boo. Aside from the fact that I am still washing walls. I am pretty dam sure that I have walls that I didn't have before! hahaha. Oh crap! Anyways...............nearing the end of it all. Just in time to start over again. Pffffft! Ok I am not that much of a fanatic!
Might be back with something tomorrow. My snowbird girlfriend just got back from Yuma so we are going to get together and hopefully get something accomplished, although you never quite know with us!!!! We laugh an awful lot! Good for the soul!

Hope y'all are having a spectacular day!

OK so now I am ticked off!

I just found out that I have some wonderful comments on here and I tried to respond to them but to no avail. Didn't show up. Had this problem when I was on a blog hop the other day too. Anyways. I just loved reading all of your comments! Really makes me want to get busy and make some more cards to put up!!!! Well not that I am looking for praise or something! Just encouraged to do more! You know what I mean! So thank you very much girls!!!!
Hope today finds you in a nice warm and sunny place!

A Happy Mother's Day card

Another fun card to make! This one I made just cause I wanted to make a mother's day card and I know a real nice mother. Not mine I don't have one, well I did at one time. hahaha Anyways. My s.i.l.'s mom is such a nice lady and I know she loves handmade things so it was fun to make too. Papers are from Michael's. Spellbinder's swirl die. Lacey ribbon from Walmart. McGill Punch for the leaves. And various flower punches. And there you have the extent of my card making lately. I have colored a few more images but haven't made them into cards yet. Been busy cleaning and other stuff.

Card for my fav s.i.l.

Another Belle's and Whistles Stamp. This card was for my sister in law for her birthday. The b/g paper was some I got from Michael's awhile ago and worked in just perfectly with this stamp. Look at my lovely bow all smooshed flat. Oh dear! A good reason for taking pictures instead of scanning I guess huh? This was just a real fun card to make. And it never hurts to make a card for someone that you really like too!

Featuring a Belle's and Whistle's Stamp

Hmmmm where to start! So many things to make up this card. The stamp is one from Belle's and Whistle's. Coloured with copics. Highlighted here and there with Spica pens. Cut out with a Spellbinders die cut.  The b/g paper and the brads are American Crafts. The scallopy punch is a Fiskars one.The butterfly is one I found along the way.  All mounted on Bazzil paper.I think that about covers it. Other than to say that it is a card for a very special lady!

Card that doesn't have a home yet!!!!!

Just love this little Changito! And isn't the saying just the truth of it all!!! LOL Colored with copics.  Martha Stewart Punch for the strip of green. Various and sundry papers etc.....

Impression Obsession

This was the June 2009 STOM from our local stamp store, Creative Accents. This was a fun card to make. Notice the little cupcakes down in the bottom of the glass! lol

Love this set!

This is an older set by The Angel Company. Was right into these for awhile. They were so much fun to do. I think there was a set of 3 or 4 different "ladies". I was still using the Prismacolors blending with a stomp and gamasol. The punch is a Stampin Up one. Thought this might give you a smile!

Card for a friend

Isn't Fabby just the epitome of energy! This stamp is made by Stamping Bellas. The saying I had a friend make for me. This was the beginning of my copic coloring I believe. Used a Cuttlebug folder called Swiss dots. Quickutz die for the swirly at the top. Ribbon some generic from somewhere!!!!

Followers woohoo!

First time I have been here for a few days. Goodness. I have followers! Oh no pressure now! LOL I do have a couple of other cards that I am about ready to upload. I wanted to get my new Multifunction printer hooked up so I can scan it and maybe it won't be blue anymore. I did take a picture of the last card I uploaded but I prefer using a scanner, if it works properly! So I have been trying to run out my printer out of ink. So I printed off all of Mojo's Sketches plus a couple of card examples for each one. And still it's got ink!!!!
Anyway's thanks for taking a boo at my cards! See you in a day or two.

Journey's first dance recital

Well what fun we had tonight! My grandaughter had her first dance recital. So I made her this card. The image is one from She has drawn a bunch of these digital stamps and is just giving them away. There are some real cuties there!!!! I printed a background that I found online but searching images via google for sky and stars, cause you see she is our little star today. Oh hence the star up in the top left corner. Image is colored with copics. Cut out with Nestabilites. The border is Martha Stewart Punch laid over a piece of ribbon that came wrapped around a blanket that I purchased! Thrifty or what eh???? LOL
Journey's other grammie and grandpa were there too and of course her mom and dad. We all gave her a little spray of flowers with the usual red rose for a job well done! She just loved it! So much fun!

Journey's Birthday Card

Now can you believe this! Back the next day with the picture of her card! The image is one I bought from Mo's Digital. Colored with copics, glitter glue, shiney stuff, shimmery chalks, Martha Stewart punch, ribbon and paper. What kind? I told  you I haven't a clue!!!! She quite liked it and her mom really liked it! LOL And what a birthday bash we had!!! We partied, kids style of course, all afternoon. Then after a brief reprieve to feed the new little guy, Meakin, and decorate another cake we were off to Boston Pizza, with Journey and her family, Sami's mom and dad and me for more food and fun! She had planned out her whole day and was such a good little sport! I thought when I had my kids I could never love anything that much but when you have grand's it's even more so! Lucky me!

Sunday, February 21, 2010

And now..........

I must go and finish up my grandaughter's birthday card for today! Parties at 3 this afternoon. Thankfully she lives here! LOL  And for the other cards I will get them in the mail tomorrow morning come H*** or high water!!!!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day!!!! Wherever you are!

My s.i.l. Mike's Birthday Card

So upon the third try I finally got one that I like. Yup! stamped and colored 2 other images that ended up getting trashed. And don't I wish that I had remembered the colors that I used to make the dust, it worked out pretty good. So the whole thing about the snail is that his birthday was on saturday! Oh my. But this guy is all ready and dressed up for the party!!!! Even if he did miss it!  You know one has 364 days to make a card for somebody you would think it could at the very least be on time for the occasion. Wouldn't you. Seems like so many of us are notoriously late with getting cards off to our loved ones!

My sister Elaine's B.D. card

Yep! I almost have it done. I just have to put the insides in it. And her birthday is on the 23rd and she lives in Virginia. Think it will get there on time???? Oh my lack of motivation to get my #^&* together lately, honestly! Anyways.....the flower image is Magenta as is the background scroll on the top, flowers Prima, EK leaf punch. Background paper??? I don't know I never know. Just pretty! I can post this because she doesn't have a computer!!!! haha! She used to build computer boards for a job but doesn't like running them so doesn't have one. How does she exist! LOL She is 3 months short of her 5 years of having had a real mess of cancer. Several major surgeries, chemo and radiation. Just thought I'd mention that. What a fighter, what she has gone through I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Valentine's 2010

Now that everyone has received their Valentine greetings in various parts of the land. I can finally take some time to upload the cards! Hope you like seeing them!

Journey's Valentine 2009

Not sure if I posted this before or not but just thought I would show you what I did last year. This is a tear bear. Lots of fun to do!

Ralfie and Lloyd

For my friends that are wintering in Yuma. I liked the fold, something a little different. She too is a card maker. So to come up with something that she doesn't already do is always a challenge!

Meakin's Valentine

I bought a bunch of different colored little cards and matching envelopes way back when. Can't pass up a sale you know. Anyways, I thought this would be a fine opportunity to use a little one for my little grandson (just 5 months old today). It is actually about 3" X 2". Cute!

Journey's Valentine

I know this looks fairly simple but I really like the background paper and the things it said on it. So left it without to much covering it. And she is only 3!!!! But her mommy is keeping things for the kids when they get older so I want to do something, she will like and will mean something to her, when she is looking at her "stuff" later in her life. Ya and ignore the bluish tint at the scanner acting the fool! Sorry!

OK 'nuff for now

Hope you like the new additions today. I will get a few more uploaded soon!
Interesting when one looks back over the whole "career" of cardmaking how many different techniques, mediums etc I have tried.
I trust all is well with everyone today!

For my friend Ralfie

This is a PSX stamp. Colored with Copics. Highlighted with Spica pens.

Get Well Card

The background in orange and yellows is done on Kromcote paper with Vivid Inks applied with a Colorbox Stylus Tool. The image is stamped on using Stazon Ink or was it Memories.

Feel Better

Stamping Bella image. Colored with Prismacolorpencils. Blended with a stomp and paint thinner stuff. Nestbilities die behind the image.

A feel better card

Daisy. One of my favorite Sugar Nellie stamps. Some of my first attempts with my copics.
I think the stamp is Inkadinkado.

Birthday Card for my daughter, Simone.

Another Magnolia Stamp. Colored with Copics. Cut the image out and mounted it on a Nestability die cut. I used flocking on her cuffs and hat. Added a little lace. At the bottom used a Cuttlebug embossing border and added some teal pearls. Don't know if you can see it or not but on her wings I used Shimmerz Blingz Pixie Dust.

Birthday Card for my friend Dianne K

A Magnolia Stamp. Coloured with copics. Background paper is from a Basic Grey collection. Flowers are a Prima package that I got from 7 kids website. And seem to be really into that leafy punch by Martha Stewart aren't I!!!! I do have other leaf punches! Might have to think about using them then aye?

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Oh boy!

Well I think that is about it for one day. I have other things I must do you know! Like check and see whose doing what on facebook. And try to get to bed sometime tonight!!!
Perhaps I will do some more tomorrow. Well no doubt I will do something tomorrow. But I meant put some more cards up! LOL

A birthday card for my friend, Ralfie.

Even tried my hand at Parchcraft. Just not enough time in the day to do everything I like doing. Thought this was kind of pretty though.

A birthday card for my son in law, Mike.

I made this card a couple of years ago and I still really like it. This was in my major Stampscape style of stamping. Using Vivid inks to color the image that has been stamped on glossy card stock. The horses are from Sutter Stamps. The ocean is Stampscapes. And the rock is Alexstamping. I mounted this onto Navy colored velvet paper then onto a black card. The concho, feather's etc I put together. Thought it kind of completed the card fairly nicely.

A birthday card for my brother, Dave.

A birthday card for my friend, Bettiann.
