Journey's Birthday Card

Now can you believe this! Back the next day with the picture of her card! The image is one I bought from Mo's Digital. Colored with copics, glitter glue, shiney stuff, shimmery chalks, Martha Stewart punch, ribbon and paper. What kind? I told  you I haven't a clue!!!! She quite liked it and her mom really liked it! LOL And what a birthday bash we had!!! We partied, kids style of course, all afternoon. Then after a brief reprieve to feed the new little guy, Meakin, and decorate another cake we were off to Boston Pizza, with Journey and her family, Sami's mom and dad and me for more food and fun! She had planned out her whole day and was such a good little sport! I thought when I had my kids I could never love anything that much but when you have grand's it's even more so! Lucky me!

And now..........

I must go and finish up my grandaughter's birthday card for today! Parties at 3 this afternoon. Thankfully she lives here! LOL  And for the other cards I will get them in the mail tomorrow morning come H*** or high water!!!!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day!!!! Wherever you are!

My s.i.l. Mike's Birthday Card

So upon the third try I finally got one that I like. Yup! stamped and colored 2 other images that ended up getting trashed. And don't I wish that I had remembered the colors that I used to make the dust, it worked out pretty good. So the whole thing about the snail is that his birthday was on saturday! Oh my. But this guy is all ready and dressed up for the party!!!! Even if he did miss it!  You know one has 364 days to make a card for somebody you would think it could at the very least be on time for the occasion. Wouldn't you. Seems like so many of us are notoriously late with getting cards off to our loved ones!

My sister Elaine's B.D. card

Yep! I almost have it done. I just have to put the insides in it. And her birthday is on the 23rd and she lives in Virginia. Think it will get there on time???? Oh my lack of motivation to get my #^&* together lately, honestly! Anyways.....the flower image is Magenta as is the background scroll on the top, flowers Prima, EK leaf punch. Background paper??? I don't know I never know. Just pretty! I can post this because she doesn't have a computer!!!! haha! She used to build computer boards for a job but doesn't like running them so doesn't have one. How does she exist! LOL She is 3 months short of her 5 years of having had a real mess of cancer. Several major surgeries, chemo and radiation. Just thought I'd mention that. What a fighter, what she has gone through I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Valentine's 2010

Now that everyone has received their Valentine greetings in various parts of the land. I can finally take some time to upload the cards! Hope you like seeing them!

Journey's Valentine 2009

Not sure if I posted this before or not but just thought I would show you what I did last year. This is a tear bear. Lots of fun to do!

Ralfie and Lloyd

For my friends that are wintering in Yuma. I liked the fold, something a little different. She too is a card maker. So to come up with something that she doesn't already do is always a challenge!

Meakin's Valentine

I bought a bunch of different colored little cards and matching envelopes way back when. Can't pass up a sale you know. Anyways, I thought this would be a fine opportunity to use a little one for my little grandson (just 5 months old today). It is actually about 3" X 2". Cute!

Journey's Valentine

I know this looks fairly simple but I really like the background paper and the things it said on it. So left it without to much covering it. And she is only 3!!!! But her mommy is keeping things for the kids when they get older so I want to do something, she will like and will mean something to her, when she is looking at her "stuff" later in her life. Ya and ignore the bluish tint at the scanner acting the fool! Sorry!

OK 'nuff for now

Hope you like the new additions today. I will get a few more uploaded soon!
Interesting when one looks back over the whole "career" of cardmaking how many different techniques, mediums etc I have tried.
I trust all is well with everyone today!

For my friend Ralfie

This is a PSX stamp. Colored with Copics. Highlighted with Spica pens.

Get Well Card

The background in orange and yellows is done on Kromcote paper with Vivid Inks applied with a Colorbox Stylus Tool. The image is stamped on using Stazon Ink or was it Memories.

Feel Better

Stamping Bella image. Colored with Prismacolorpencils. Blended with a stomp and paint thinner stuff. Nestbilities die behind the image.

A feel better card

Daisy. One of my favorite Sugar Nellie stamps. Some of my first attempts with my copics.
I think the stamp is Inkadinkado.
