Birthday yipee for my brother!

I love these crazy Art Impression images. The background paper is from the a pad called Moulin Rouge by Prima. I kind of liked the contrast between this young woman doing the can can (?) and the very flashy Millie! Colored with my trusty copics. Think my brother will like it!!!! hahahaha

Thanks!

For taking the time to make a comment. It is really encouraging! Makes me want to make more cards!

Eulanda's birthday card.

Finally have the other card to show you! My busy daughter had a minute to take the picture and send it to me. Gotta try and remember to do that before I send the card! So much easier for everyone! This is a new image by Sylvia Zet. Isn't she just the cutest little girl. I colored her with copics. Cut with a nestability die. The flower is from Wild Orchid. And I believe the paper is Basic Grey. Now back to my christmas card making!

Had to move that translator to the bottom

Seems that googles translator still isn't working. So I kept this one just had to move it to the bottom of the page cause I didn't like that it was so glaringly large at the top of the page. So for anyone that can't speak english, what's the odds that they are reading this post??? Hmmmmm LROL!!!!! Just tryin to be nice ya know!!!!

Has anyone tried.......

to see if my tutorial actually works, yet? Curious to know if I did a decent job or if it just seems easy cause I have already done it????
If you haven't that's ok too. Maybe tomorrow? heehee anyhow no pressure here. But do let me know if you did it ok?

Ciao for now bella's,
Moi

Rak for 85th Birthday

Welllll dahlinks!!!! This is from a set of stamps by Pink Cat Studios that my daughter, who is always cleaning out stuff, gave to me!!! Cute isn't it! My glitzy friend gave me the background paper and it is indeed far more jazzy that what it shows in this pic! Colored of course with copics. Feather's provided by somebodies chicken I am sure! And these Lifestyle dies make cutting squares with a cutter a thing of the past! Love it as I am always trimming and trimming to get it just right!!! And the spacing is just perfect! Hope she likes it and hope it makes you all smile too!!!

What? A tutorial! Hopefully yes!

Decide what you want the inside of your card to look like and cut 2 separate pieces of light weight card stock or design paper. I would use the traditional 5 1/2" X 4 1/4". The reason being that your little gift card envelope that is going to fit inside can be smaller and do what it needs to do!!!

So lets start with what the inside is going to look like.
#1

Leave a little space between the pieces of paper. Oh and don't think that you might help yourself by putting just a little bit of something to hold the ribbon in place while you are positioning it. Believe me it just screws it up so it doesn't work!!! lol Just tape the ribbons down on the back side of these pieces.

Ok so now I will show you the back of these same pieces.
#2

Not exactly the straightest on my ribbons am I, ok you don't have to answer that! lol  So can you figure out which ribbon goes where? Oh I am sure you can! I have faith in you!

Next you cut the outside paper cardstock, once again in 2 separate pieces same size as the inside paper. Now glue them to the back sides of the innards in the last picture.

Make your gift envelope. Place your envelope underneath the ribbon X.

Your card is in 2 pieces, joined by the ribbons. I am going to show you what the magic is! First you will open the card from the right side. Now close it. Next open it again from the left side. I do hope you heeded my advice and didn't use any extra sticky stuff anywhere, no need for you to learn it the hard way too!!!!! hahaha

See how the gift envelope moved from one side to the other?
Now is that cool or what!!!!!
If you have any problems let me know!
Have fun!

New translator

Oh my! It seems that the google translator is broken at the moment. So they are offering this one. Sure takes up a lot of space but looks like it should work alright!

A bright spot in my life!

It is one of my beautiful daughters, Simone's, birthday tomorrow. Since they have received their cards already I can now post them. This is a Sugar Nellie digital image. I was in such a hurry to get them sent off that I neglected to take a picture of the cards. Simone was kind enough to take a pic and send it back to me. Still waiting for Eulanda's. When she gets time to take a pic I will upload that one too.

Sympathy card

This card is for my sister in law who just lost a younger sister. How sad for her.
The papers are from Kaiser Craft. The little girl stamp is from Crafter's Companion. And the words on the front are from a sympathy set by Stampendous. The flowers above are from Wild Orchid. The oval is Lifestyles Crafts.

M.I.L. get well.

My m.i.l. had a dizzy spell a week ago this past saturday and she fell. On her way down she hit her ribs on a wooden chair and broke 3 of them. She is still in the hospital. Poor little lady she is so tiny and fragile. Still in a lot of pain. Hopefully she will mend and get back to feeling well again.
This is a wonderful stamp set from Art Impressions! And anyone that has ever been in the hospital knows a nurse ratchet I am sure!!! Really, they do come back and make sure you are sleeping. Once by shining a flashlight in my face. Or maybe that was way back when the nurses really did check on you! Anyways.....I thought this card might cheer her up.
